I hinted at this topic in my last video about buying a used car in Las Vegas. One of the reasons I suggest going car shopping at multiple dealerships is because it gives you more time to compare and contrast the car deals that you come across. I saw this first hand when I was visiting used car lots in Las Vegas.

One of the places I went to actually had different auto prices posted online on their website than what the prices said on the cars in the dealership lot. After I did a few test drives I sat down with the salesman to discuss the price of the used car that I liked the most. I had no intention of buying a car in Las Vegas that day, and I did not take the deal they were offering me. I'm glad I chose to pass on buying the vehicle that day.

When I went home after car shopping that day I went on the dealership website and saw that the car I liked had an online price that was over $2,000 cheaper than the floor price! When I sat down with the salesman at the used car lot I was at in Las Vegas, he (of course) began the price negotiating at the higher of the two prices. Even after they reduced the priced of the used car I liked the most, it was still more expensive than the vehicle price posted on their auto site. The dealer wanted me to buy that day and sign up for financing the car's purchase, but it never happened. I was committed to shopping at other used car lots in Las Vegas or in Henderson, NV, and I'm glad I walked away. It helped save me money when it came to finding a car deal.

If you are really trying to find a good deal on a used car in Las Vegas, it is certainly worth your time to check around for deals online and do your homework. Just know that when you are at a dealership, and there are two different prices for the car, the dealer is going to begin negotiating the purchase of the car at the higher price in order to increase his commission and the car dealership's overall profit.
