After spending a lot of time and money trying to have an older fixed, I decided to look more at buying a used car in Las Vegas on Cragislist. I had bought a used car before on craigslist and twice before from dealerships back in California. My old car I bought from a guy in Fremont, California. I was rather fortunate that is was an easy process. It only took me looking at two used cars before I bought the car that I drove for several years in San Jose and in Las Vegas.

So before I decided to go to a Las Vegas used car dealership I chose to look around on Craigslist to see if I would have a similar experience to what I had in CA. Shopping for previously owned cars on Craigslist in Las Vegas seemed to be a bit different than back in CA. Of course there are people who have already sold the vehicle, people wanting too much for their automobile, and people who just flake out when you want to see their used car. I ran into several instances where the person selling the used car did not even seem to know much about the vehicle that they are selling. One guy was giving me indirect answers and was just trying to get me to come look at his used car. I came to find out that he bought and sold cars after I asked him twice how long he had owned the vehicle. I wanted to by a previously owned car from someone who used the car as their personal vehicle. I was not interested in buying an automobile from an individual dealer.

Part of the attraction of the used car section on Craigslist is that you can find used cars in Las Vegas under 3,000, under 6,000 and under 10,000 dollars. I was searching for used car deals in Las Vegas and in Henderson, NV. However, the Craigslist used car section turned out to be a place that I didn't want to go through for buying a used car in Las Vegas. It was at this point that I felt like going to a Las Vegas used car dealer would provide me with a lot more vehicle options. I liked the idea of Craigslist because I could buy a car with cash and would not need to take out an auto loan to take on debt for a car. However, it seemed like going to a used car dealership would at least give me plenty of pre-owned options to choose from. It likely meant that I would need to get a car note, but at this point I was getting a bit more frustrated with the process I was having in buying a used car in Las Vegas. By going to a dealer here in Vegas I could have more options, work the price down, possibly get a vehicle warranty for the car to help cover possible damage and repairs, etc. Next, we go to a Las Vegas used car dealership!
