Here is short checklist to use as a guide when you are planning a Vegas trip for EDC:

Vegas weather this time of year:
EDC is held in the middle of June. You can guarantee that the weather will at least be warm. It may even be very hot depending on when the summer time heat really starts to kick in.

Vegas Travel Expenses: Hotel Rates, Room Accommodations, Flight Bookings
To travel to Las Vegas for EDC you can expect that your overall traveling costs to be higher than normal. The Electric Daisy Carnival does draw about 200,000 people to town. Although the event itself is at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, all of the people attending do need a place to stay, so many will be staying in hotels on the strip and downtown.

Is EDC a good time to bring kids on a Vegas family vacation?
If you are looking for a family friendly time to vacation in Vegas then you may want to keep your eye on the Las Vegas calendar for when EDC comes to town. The event does draw about 200,000 people, and it is a very young crowd. The partying really takes place at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, but there will be a lot of people staying in hotels on the strip. The other part to remember is that you only have to be 18 years old to attend EDC, so many of the 200,000 people will be between the ages of 18 and 20. That means that they have less entertainment options available to them during the day time like gambling, drinking at a lounge, etc. So many will hang out at the hotel and be in the pool area during the daytime until they go party that night. If I had to choose between a Vegas family vacation during EDC, and a different time in the summer, I would choose to bring my family on vacation to Vegas another time.

Other Vegas travel tips to keep in mind:
EDC is a HUGE event on the calendar of Las Vegas tourism simply because it draws so many people to town. The event itself is held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, about 15 miles from the strip.
