Here is short checklist to use as a guide when you are planning a Vegas trip for the AVN Porn Convention :

The weather in Las Vegas will be cooler during this time of year. The day time can actually be really nice and comfortable. However, when the sun goes down then the temperature will definitely drop. Keep in mind also that in the winter in Vegas it is actually a very dry time of year. Your skin will get dry quickly, so as a Las Vegas travel tip I suggest that you carry lotion and chap stick with you throughout your vacation.

Vegas Travel Expenses: Hotel Rates, Room Accommodations, Flight Bookings
To travel to Las Vegas at his time of year you can expect that your overall traveling costs to be higher than normal. The Adult Video Network Conference (AVN) does draw about 40,000 people to town by itself. This does not include any other events, conferences, and casual tourists visiting during this time of year also.
AVN is a more expensive time of year to travel to Las Vegas

Is AVN a good time to bring kids on a Vegas family vacation?
If you are looking for a family friendly time to vacation in Vegas then this really may not be the time that you want to bring your children to Las Vegas on vacation. The AVN Porn Convention is at the Hard Rock Hotel, so it is a couple blocks east of Las Vegas Blvd. However, many attendees will be staying on the strip and their may be events after the convention is done each day that are held on Las Vegas Blvd. I do not recommend AVN as a family friendly time to be on vacation in Las Vegas.

Other Vegas travel tips to keep in mind:
AVN is a sizable event on the calendar of Las Vegas tourism because it is a convention that has a lot of notoriety. It is no longer held on the strip, but is held at the Hard Rock Hotel a couple blocks east of the strip that attracts about 40,000 attendees.
