After doing the interview with the Uber driver named Jon, I decided to get another perspective on the impact that Uber has. I went to speak with Joaquin, who works at the front of the hotel. We talked about the differences between Uber and taxis. Joaquin noted how the younger people tend to use Uber far more than they use taxis. He also noticed that Uber seems to be much more efficient, timely, and cheaper than taking a taxi. I was curious if having Uber drivers drop people off in front of a hotel was a major disruption to the flow of traffic at the entrance, and Joaquin said that it does not interrupt the front door operation at all.

Even he prefers to use Uber, especially when he has to travel longer distances. The reason he prefers Uber is because it is cheaper than taking a regular taxi. After discussing Uber vs taxis with a front door employee at the hotel, it was obvious that he felt Uber was the better choice over a taxi because the service is more efficient and the costs are lower, both of which greatly benefit the consumer.
