Afters years of battling in court in Northern Nevada, collecting signatures, and lobbying from multiple different parties on both sides of the battle, UBER IS FINALLY AVAILABLE IN LAS VEGAS!

For those of you who may not know the recent history with Uber in Nevada, Uber was operating here in Nevada for a few weeks back in the fall of 2014. However, after being allowed to operate briefly, Uber was banned by a judge. Uber has been fighting to get back into Nevada ever since.
One of the biggest supporters of bringing Uber to Nevada was the Henderson Chamber of Commerce. The city of Henderson has had many issues in the past with taxis not wanting to make trips out to Henderson. The problem was even worse in outer areas like Boulder City, Lake Mead, and Lake Las Vegas. Due to the distance that a taxi would have to travel to get to those areas, many taxis would simply not pick someone up if they were in an outer area of the Vegas Valley.

Things are a little different this time around for Uber Las Vegas drivers. Back when Uber was in Las Vegas in the fall drivers were not allowed to pick up or drop off anywhere on the strip or at the airport. Drivers were pretty much only allowed to serve the residential areas. This time drivers ARE ALLOWED to pick up and drop off on the strip. Drivers can also drop off at McCarran International Airport, but at the moment are NOT allowed to pick up at the airport.
