The Peace Lodge, La Paz Waterfall Garden, in Vara Blanca Costa Rica is about one hour north of San Jose Airport and it is one of the top rated rainforest hotels in the world. Surpringly affordable for what you get, this is a luxury stay situated high amongst the cloud forest inside a natural animal sanctuary where you can interact with sloths, toucan, jaguars, ocelot, Costa Rican culture and locals. There is excellent fine dining, heated and cold pools, waterfall hikes and more.
