Mount Charleston Sunday: Hotel, Lodge, a Fab Dinner, Cool & Green!

The temperatures in Las Vegas are reaching summertime sizzle, and for those of us who live here, escape is on our minds. The closest and most effective escape from desert heat is to go UP - up Kyle Canyon Road to Mount Charleston. With every mile of elevation gain, the temperature cools, the vegetation gets greener, and the scenery gets more and more spectacular.

Join us for our annual trip up the Mountain, where we stop at the lovely, rustic, and surprising Retreat on Charleston Peak (AKA the Mount Charleston Hotel)...have a fantastic dinner in the Canyon Restaurant...and drive up to the village for a check on the progress of the rebuild of the iconic Mount Charleston Lodge (YES, it's finally under construction).

And then, because we could not resist the comparison, we end the video with a drive up the Strip, and a check on the status of two other construction projects - the A's stadium, and the Hard Rock Guitar!
