We Left the Pacific Crest Trail After 900 Miles... Here's Why

After hiking more than 900 miles (1,450 km) on the Pacific Crest Trail, we've made one of the hardest decisions of our journey...

In this video, we explain why we've decided to end our PCT thru-hike.

This wasn't a decision we made overnight. We'd been questioning whether thru-hiking was truly for us for weeks, while doing everything we could to make it work. We kept hiking because we wanted to be absolutely sure before walking away.

And despite deciding to leave the trail, we're incredibly proud of what we accomplished.

The Pacific Crest Trail gave us unforgettable landscapes, amazing friendships, countless acts of kindness, and memories we'll carry with us forever.

To everyone who supported us—our family, friends, fellow hikers, trail angels, and everyone following along here on YouTube and Instagram—thank you. Your encouragement meant far more than you know.

After leaving the trail, we headed to Las Vegas to step away from thru-hiking completely and give ourselves the space to process everything. Instead of making another big decision immediately, we spent a few days exploring the city, laughing, relaxing, and slowly figuring out what comes next.

By the end of the week, we knew we'd made the right decision.

And this isn't the end of our adventure.
