With all of the fight that taxi drivers and their employers did to protest the operation of Uber and Lyft here in Nevada, you might think that taxi drivers would have a lot of animosity towards Uber and Lyft drivers. So far I have not experienced anything like that from taxi drivers. I have spoken to several, and they usually just talk about how much it sucks to be a taxi driver. Some express interest in driving for Uber or Lyft, and others seem to just be content enough that they don't want to try changing to a different (and better) way to make money. So if you're going to drive I would not worry too much about backlash from taxi drivers.
