A lot of people ask me if they are able to request a certain driver that they have used in the past. Unfortunately, this is not possible with Uber and Lyft. There is no way to request a specific driver. When you use the app to get a ride the signal simply goes to the nearest driver in the area. The driver can choose to accept or reject the ride. However, the customer does not have the ability to request a certain driver from Uber or Lyft.
