This is obviously a really broad question, but it's one that does get asked a lot because the idea of living in Las Vegas to most people just seems so surreal. This is, of course, largely due to the fact that most people just think of the strip when they think of Las Vegas. They take what little they know about Las Vegas and project that onto the entire area, and think that living in Las Vegas must be one giant party 24 hours a day. The false notion in their heads makes Vegas seem like an uninhabitable place for living.

Fortunately, nothing could be further from the truth. Las Vegas is a great place to live. I love it so much that I made an entire YouTube channel about it! Yes, living in Las Vegas is unique in some ways. Of course we have the strip, we have gambling, no last call, and a wild wild west culture. However, once you get outside of the strip life does get pretty normal. It's quite possible to live a "normal life" in Las Vegas. The only major differences you come across on a daily basis are seeing the video poker machines inside of gas stations and grocery stores. Also, you commonly hears guys at work talking about what sports bets they have placed for the week. Other than that, life in Vegas can be just as normal as many other places in America. Don't let the strip fool you. The entire area is not like Las Vegas Blvd.
