Today Laci and I are discussing buying a resale house here in Southern Nevada from her perspective as a realtor. There are a lot of resale homes available in Las Vegas, Henderson and North Las Vegas. In fact, the majority of home sales are resale homes. Some people think that buying a resale home means that the house is going to be old, in poor condition and in a bad neighborhood. The fact of the matter is that there are many resale homes in this area that are in great condition in good neighborhoods. Las Vegas is a very transient area, and the area is growing very quickly. There are a lot of safe and desirable neighborhoods that are only 10-15 years old with homes in great condition. Also, there are more brand new neighborhoods building houses, schools, libraries, grocery stores, etc. Las Vegas is a young city that is quickly expanding, so just understand that there are a lot of quality resale homes available that your real estate agent can help you with.
