An Old Fashioned, some red lipstick and a black dress…sigh, there’s just something undeniable about a good ol’ classic. The beloved Vegas showgirl may be an endangered species these days (insert tear), but “VEGAS! THE SHOW” preserved those feather-clad beauties and the likes of an era when everything was flashier and dripping with sophistication. What’s that you ask? Can a show filled with gorgeous and talented women a la Rat Pack era really exist in the here and now? Oh yes my friend, it sure can and all we have to say is raise that curtain and let the good times roll. With a little song, a lot of dance and that certain sultry allure that only old timey Vegas could pull off, this is a trip down memory lane and, well, it’s pretty legit. The costumes are fun, funky, sexy and so real. Ok, well maybe not the candy-themed costumes but hell, their Sammy Davis Jr. sure had us pining for an autograph. For a city that was built on pure, raw talent and obviously dolla dolla bills, this show celebrates iconic moments from the city's rich entertainment history through the decades that made the Vegas we know and love today. And we’ll tip our top hats to that.

The Palms Casino Resort just added a dedicated non-smoking slot room off the main casino floor—one of the more substantial smoke-free gaming spaces in Las Vegas outside of fully non-smoking Park MGM.

When it opened
It opened to the public on August 24, 2026, with an official grand opening on September 1 that included a ribbon-cutting and an IGT “Spin It Forward” celebrity charity slot challenge that raised about $35,000 for local nonprofits.

Size and location
The room is about 7,300 square feet and sits near the William Hill Sportsbook in the space that used to be Mabel’s BBQ. It is fully enclosed and separately ventilated rather than just a marked-off section of the main floor. Officials say any smoke smell dissipates within a few yards of the open entrance.

What’s inside
224 slot machines* from nearly a dozen manufacturers, focused on newer and popular titles. There are *no table games**.
A full-service bar as the centerpiece: white marble, high ceilings, warm lighting. It serves specialty cocktails, rotating local craft beers, and whiskey flights. Video poker is available at the bar (including some reasonably strong Double Double Bonus pay tables, per early reviews).

The look is modern and airy compared with a typical Vegas casino pit—high ceilings inherited from the old restaurant, plus a colorful abstract carpet. Palms positioned it as a response to consistent guest requests for more non-smoking play, especially from visitors who also go to the tribe’s fully indoor-smoke-free Yaamava’ property in California.

How it compares
It is slots-only and not a whole-property ban. The rest of Palms (including tables and the high-limit room) still allows smoking. Reviews note it is a genuine enclosed room rather than an open “non-smoking section,” though one write-up pointed out the front wall is perforated, so it is not a completely sealed box.
