I took a fun trip for a few days up to the northwest part of the country. I had never been to Washington before, so it was exciting to go for the first time in my life. I flew into Seattle, where I went to see the space needle my first night. The next day I was off to Anacortes (about an hour from the border of Canada) to get on a fairy to visit the San Juan islands. The next morning I was up and driving to Leavenworth. This town of about 2,000 people is popular with tourists because the entire downtown is a Bavarian theme. The German-inspired architecture and restaurants are a lot of fun to see!

After part of the day in Leavenworth, I went back to Seattle. The next day I went to Husky Stadium and University District to see the University of Washington's campus. It was a very pretty campus to walk through and explore. Lastly, I went to Pike's Place to see the fish market, the other vendors and the gum wall before I had to head back to SeaTac to get to the airport to catch my flight to McCarran International Airport to back to Southern Nevada. Visiting Seattle and the other areas in the northwest was a lot of fun! I do plan to return one day when I decide to take a break from my life in Vegas.
