An Old Fashioned, some red lipstick and a black dress…sigh, there’s just something undeniable about a good ol’ classic. The beloved Vegas showgirl may be an endangered species these days (insert tear), but “VEGAS! THE SHOW” preserved those feather-clad beauties and the likes of an era when everything was flashier and dripping with sophistication. What’s that you ask? Can a show filled with gorgeous and talented women a la Rat Pack era really exist in the here and now? Oh yes my friend, it sure can and all we have to say is raise that curtain and let the good times roll. With a little song, a lot of dance and that certain sultry allure that only old timey Vegas could pull off, this is a trip down memory lane and, well, it’s pretty legit. The costumes are fun, funky, sexy and so real. Ok, well maybe not the candy-themed costumes but hell, their Sammy Davis Jr. sure had us pining for an autograph. For a city that was built on pure, raw talent and obviously dolla dolla bills, this show celebrates iconic moments from the city's rich entertainment history through the decades that made the Vegas we know and love today. And we’ll tip our top hats to that.

Arizona Charlie’s Boulder is the east-side locals casino-hotel on Boulder Highway (the Boulder Strip), Address: 4575 Boulder Highway, Las Vegas, NV 89121.

It’s a mid-size, value-focused property aimed at locals, RV travelers, and visitors who want gaming and a room without Strip prices or crowds. Downtown is roughly 10 minutes away; the Strip and Harry Reid Airport are about 15 minutes.

What it is
The hotel-casino opened as a hotel in 1991 (then Sunrise Fountain Suites), with the casino arriving in 2000. Golden Entertainment operates it; Vici Properties owns it. It sits between Boulder Station and Sam’s Town on about 24 acres, including the RV park.

Expect a working locals casino more than a destination resort: bingo, slots, cheap rooms, a pool, and live bands in the lounge—not high-end restaurants, big shows, or a sprawling pool complex.

Casino
Gaming space is about 47,500 square feet. Sources commonly cite several hundred slot and video poker machines (figures vary by listing, often 550–950+), plus a 24-hour bingo hall (sessions typically every odd hour), a William Hill sports book, and a small number of table games (blackjack and similar; not a large pit).

It’s part of Golden’s True Rewards program, so points work across Arizona Charlie’s and many other Golden properties.

Hotel
About 300 rooms and suites. Rooms were refurbished in 2024 (new beds, furniture, refrigerators, coffee makers, HD TVs). Typical layouts:

Standard two doubles (~337 sq ft)
Deluxe suites with a king, two doubles, or mixed beds, often with a sitting area

Rooms use exterior corridors. Amenities usually include free Wi-Fi, A/C, and daily housekeeping. Check-in is typically 3 p.m., check-out 11 a.m. There is a daily resort fee (listed around $30 in some visitor guides; confirm current amount). Must be 21 to check in. Pets are generally not allowed in hotel rooms.

RV park
A distinctive feature the Decatur property doesn’t match at this scale: a year-round RV park with 200+ full-hookup sites (30–70 ft, back-in and pull-through, 30/50 amp), clubhouse, laundry, private baths/showers, fitness area, dog run, 24-hour security, and access to the hotel pool/hot tub and casino. Good Sam has rated it highly. Reservations: 800-970-7280.

Dining, bars, entertainment
On-site options have shifted over time but typically include casual spots such as Sourdough Café, PT’s Express, Dunkin’, and sometimes Denny’s specials. A steakhouse (Yukon Grille) has appeared in older descriptions. Bars include Elbow Creek and Jake’s. The Palace Grand Lounge runs free or low-cover live music (cover bands, country, rock, etc.).

Amenities
Outdoor pool and hot tub
Free self-parking (garage plus lots)
Laundry
Gift shop
Accessible rooms

Vibe and reviews
Think affordable Boulder Strip casino hotel, not Bellagio. Ratings cluster in the mid-to-high 3s / low 7s out of 10: guests often like the price, suite size, bingo, and easy parking; complaints usually target dated building bones, mixed cleanliness, noise, and the extra fees. It’s popular with locals and people who want a simple base on the east side rather than a Strip spectacle.
