This video is about what the dating scene is like for locals living in Las Vegas. It will apply to both single men and single women that are looking for a partner.

There are several things that are unique about dating in Las Vegas that can have an affect how guys and girls are able to manage and grow a romantic relationship. One thing that makes Southern Nevada unique is that 76% of the state’s population is not born and raised here in Nevada. Whether you go to Las Vegas, North Las Vegas or Henderson, you will inevitably meet local residents that moved here from other cities and states in the U.S. And with over 20% of our population being foreign-born, you will also meet a lot of people that are from other countries.

This provides a huge variety of people in the dating pool in Vegas with not diversity of options. You may be a person from Los Angeles, California, and end up dating someone from Miami, Florida, Houston, Texas or from Guadalajara, Mexico. Las Vegas is the biggest city in the most transient state in America. There are so many people from all over the world here that you will come across more variety than you may be used to back in your home town.
Another component that impacts the dating world in Las Vegas is that so many people work in the service industry. Whether they work in hospitality, tourism, nightlife, etc. many people here do not work a normal Monday through Friday job with Saturdays and Sundays off. Some people have weekdays off, some people work swing shift, some people work graveyard, and some people are on call for their job. This makes it a challenge for singles to find time to meet up to go out on a date. If one person works the early morning shift and another works the swing shift with different days off work, then you have to make a date to go out at some odd times. You may have to meet for a breakfast date before one of you has work. You may have to come up with some fun daytime activities as date ideas if both of has work. You will meet new people in Las Vegas with a lot of different tastes. You will meet people who love to party, go to bars and clubs, and stay all night. You will meet people who want nothing to do with that lifestyle, and would much rather watch a movie at home. You will encounter people who are very politically conservative and people that are very politically liberal. Some people are really devout in their faith while others are agnostic or atheist. The culture here in Nevada is very much “live and let live.”
Some good places to meet people are doing activities that you have an interest in. You can find meetup groups and social clubs specifically for singles or just groups centered on a common interest. You can find groups about painting, hiking, investing, volunteering, a church organization, a softball league, a book club, a car club, a foodie club, etc. There are tons of groups that you can join where you can meet new people with similar interests to yours. From there you can make new contacts and acquaintances. Some of the new people you meet will become friends that you make and keep here in Las Vegas.
