It may seem like fun and games to take a souvenir photo with a Las Vegas Showgirl or Character Actor. Be aware that they work exclusively for tips and they will expect up to $100 per girl and will cause a scene, hold you or your device hostage or put their hands on you if you refuse to pay. Most of the character actors work for one company that provides showgirl and cartoon or character costumes in exchange for a portion of what they earn. They work in pairs of two and have specific routes and areas they stick to. If you choose to engage, negotiate in advance how much they will be receiving and make sure they have a clear understanding BEFORE you take the picture.
