The S** Lives of College Girls Season 1, Episode 4, “Kappa,” follows the Essex roommates through different campus situations, including Bela attending a high-profile Catullan event with Kimberly nearby.

In this scene, Kimberly notices the student bartenders are barely getting tipped. Her solution is awkward but strangely effective: loudly point out that the bartender is on full scholarship, then make a show of giving him a big tip. Once people hear the financial-aid detail, they suddenly start tipping more.

The funny part is that Kimberly’s idea actually works. Later, the bartenders give her back the fake tips and share a cut of what they made, because without her little performance, the money would not have come in. When she tries to tip them again, they shut it down with one perfect line: help does not tip help.
