Heart Attack Grill in downtown Las Vegas closes after 15 years of high-calorie fare

For the first time in 15 years, the Heart Attack Grill in downtown Las Vegas has gone dark, with its doors locked for good.

The restaurant, known for its ultra-high-calorie menu and its over-the-top hospital-themed experience, officially closed yesterday morning. On Tuesday, people still stopped by for lunch without realizing the Fremont Street landmark had gone out of business.

“I’m not happy because I never got to experience it,” said Heather Stoffer, who was visiting from New Mexico and arrived at the restaurant only to find it closed. “But I heard it’s crazy, and it’s sad that they’re shutting it down.”
