5 things you didn't know about Sin City: The film's unique look came from shooting entirely on digital backlots with actors performing in isolation. This allowed for seamless inclusion of comic book-style visuals. Many of the props and costumes were digitally enhanced or entirely created in post-production, blending seamlessly with the live-action shots and enhancing the graphic novel aesthetic. Director Frank Miller insisted on stark, high-contrast black-and-white visuals, directly inspired by the original Sin City comics. This amplifies the gritty, noir atmosphere throughout the movie. Mickey Rourke, who played Marv, wore a facial prosthetic to closely resemble the character's iconic square-jawed look from the comics. Rourke's dedication led to a perfect transformation. Bruce Willis was passionate about playing the role of Hartigan due to his long-time appreciation for noir films and novels. His dedication shines through every suspense-filled scene.. #SinCity #QuentinTarantino #RobertRodriguez #MickeyRourke #CliveOwen #BruceWillis #JessicaAlba #FrankMiller #Crime #Thriller
