Would we take our kids to Las Vegas again?

✅ Pros

* Easy road trip from Phoenix, no airfare needed.
* Summer hotel prices were surprisingly affordable. We paid about $130 total, including resort and parking fees.
* The MGM Grand pool was a huge win for our family with its lazy river, plenty of seating, and poolside food service.
* Las Vegas offers incredible shows at reasonable prices. We paid about $70 per ticket and were even upgraded to amazing seats for free.
* There are endless restaurants, making it easy to create memorable family dinners.
* It led to some meaningful conversations with our kids about gambling, alcohol, modesty, and living out our Christian values in today’s culture.

❌ Cons

* It’s called Sin City for a reason.
* Casinos smelled strongly of cigarette smoke.
* Our kids saw intoxicated people.
* We encountered homeless individuals who appeared to be struggling with addiction or mental illness.
* People were handing out strip club advertisements.
* Large digital billboards advertised adult entertainment.
* Most of these things became much more noticeable later in the evening.

What We’d Do Differently
If we stayed at the MGM Grand again, we’d completely change our schedule:

* ????️ Shop from 8 a.m.–12 p.m. while stores are open and the Strip is quieter.
* ???? Spend the hottest part of the day enjoying the pool.
* ????️ Have a later dinner before heading to a late show.
* ????️ Avoid walking the Strip late at night.

Our Verdict
Yes we would take our kids to Las Vegas again, but we’d be intentional about how we do it.
