World Cup soccer is drawing fans to jumbo screens across Las Vegas as the tournament continues in the United States, and local tourism leaders and venue operators are working to make sure visitors know the city is a top place to watch the matches.
Team USA defeated Australia 2-0 today. The team will take on Turkey in Los Angeles on Thursday in the final match of their group.
Although Las Vegas is not a host city, the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority has been marketing the city to fans traveling for the World Cup, including in nearby markets such as Los Angeles. The effort is aimed at attracting both domestic and international visitors who are moving from game to game.
