Move over, Las Vegas Strip! There are plenty of reasons why you should stay in Downtown Las Vegas on your next vacation. Fremont Street is the Old Vegas, and even though it is smaller and older, it holds a lot of historic value. Not to mention the abundance of fun activities that you can do on your next trip, whether you are visiting solo or with family, as a couple, or even with kids. There is no shortage of things to do, from gambling with traditional slot machines to dining and bar hopping. Kids and teenagers can enjoy ziplining, swimming near the Sharks at the Golden Nugget, watching a gigantic praying mantis at Container Park, throwing blades at Axehole, or visiting one of several interesting museums including the Mob and Neon museums.

While the Strip offers a "mega" version of most things found in Downtown, it cannot replicate the charm that Fremont has been providing for decades. It is less crowded, cheaper, and less overwhelming than its counterpart. It is also the hub for locals, and getting acquainted would be a good strategy to fetch good local deals!
