An Old Fashioned, some red lipstick and a black dress…sigh, there’s just something undeniable about a good ol’ classic. The beloved Vegas showgirl may be an endangered species these days (insert tear), but “VEGAS! THE SHOW” preserved those feather-clad beauties and the likes of an era when everything was flashier and dripping with sophistication. What’s that you ask? Can a show filled with gorgeous and talented women a la Rat Pack era really exist in the here and now? Oh yes my friend, it sure can and all we have to say is raise that curtain and let the good times roll. With a little song, a lot of dance and that certain sultry allure that only old timey Vegas could pull off, this is a trip down memory lane and, well, it’s pretty legit. The costumes are fun, funky, sexy and so real. Ok, well maybe not the candy-themed costumes but hell, their Sammy Davis Jr. sure had us pining for an autograph. For a city that was built on pure, raw talent and obviously dolla dolla bills, this show celebrates iconic moments from the city's rich entertainment history through the decades that made the Vegas we know and love today. And we’ll tip our top hats to that.

Plaza Hotel & Casino is a classic downtown Las Vegas property at 1 Main Street, anchoring the west end of the Fremont Street Experience.

It opened in 1971 as the Union Plaza (on the site of the original 1905 railroad depot) and has roughly 995–1,000 rooms across two towers, an 80,000-square-foot casino, and a mix of vintage Vegas charm with modern updates.

Key Features
Location & Atmosphere**: Ideal gateway to Fremont Street’s lights, shows, and street energy, yet a bit removed from the densest crowds. The property blends Rat Pack-era style with contemporary touches, including a striking neon exterior, glass dome, and recent Main Street façade upgrades (Carousel Bar, Pinkbox Doughnuts, etc.).
Casino**: Wide variety of slots (penny to higher limits, classic and modern), strong video poker (including high-return options), table games (blackjack, craps, roulette including single-zero), live keno, a large William Hill sportsbook with dozens of screens, and downtown’s only dedicated bingo room.
Hotel**: Standard rooms around 325 sq ft; upgraded Luxe rooms and suites on higher floors of the north tower with better finishes and amenities. Resort fee typically includes parking, pool access, fitness center, and other basics.
Amenities**: Rooftop pool deck (one of downtown’s larger ones, with hot tub, cabanas, and food/drink service), extensive pickleball courts (among the most of any Las Vegas casino), fitness center, showroom, convention space, and dining led by Oscar’s Steakhouse (under the dome overlooking Fremont Street), plus options like Hash House A Go Go, Carousel Bar, and casual spots.

New High-Limit Slot Room
In late August 2026, Plaza opened a dedicated High Limit Slots Room—an intimate ~2,000-square-foot space on the main casino floor (adjacent to the table games / near the former Brightside Breakfast & Burgers area).

It features about 53 state-of-the-art machines with elevated maximum bets, blending classic Las Vegas glamour (rich dark tones, gold Art Deco detailing, plush upholstery) with modern features. Highlights include personalized/dedicated staff and a concierge desk (hotel check-in for top-tier Players Club members, help with Oscar’s reservations, room upgrades, pool cabanas, and recommendations), a comfortable lounge with sports TVs, complimentary non-alcoholic beverages, 24-hour cocktail service, ATM/TITO redemption, and Acres cashless gaming technology (Apple Pay and other digital options, plus expedited/unattended jackpot handling).

The room can also convert for private events. It was designed for higher-end players seeking more privacy and elevated service while staying connected to the casino energy, reflecting growth in downtown’s slots business and higher-limit demand.

Overall, Plaza offers solid value, strong player-friendly elements (especially video poker and bingo), a prime Fremont Street location, and ongoing upgrades that keep it relevant as a full-service downtown destination.
