An Old Fashioned, some red lipstick and a black dress…sigh, there’s just something undeniable about a good ol’ classic. The beloved Vegas showgirl may be an endangered species these days (insert tear), but “VEGAS! THE SHOW” preserved those feather-clad beauties and the likes of an era when everything was flashier and dripping with sophistication. What’s that you ask? Can a show filled with gorgeous and talented women a la Rat Pack era really exist in the here and now? Oh yes my friend, it sure can and all we have to say is raise that curtain and let the good times roll. With a little song, a lot of dance and that certain sultry allure that only old timey Vegas could pull off, this is a trip down memory lane and, well, it’s pretty legit. The costumes are fun, funky, sexy and so real. Ok, well maybe not the candy-themed costumes but hell, their Sammy Davis Jr. sure had us pining for an autograph. For a city that was built on pure, raw talent and obviously dolla dolla bills, this show celebrates iconic moments from the city's rich entertainment history through the decades that made the Vegas we know and love today. And we’ll tip our top hats to that.

The Mobster Who Helped Build Las Vegas — The Real Bugsy Siegel Story

Before Las Vegas became the entertainment capital of the world, it was a dusty desert town with a very different future.

At the center of one of the most dramatic chapters in Las Vegas history was Benjamin “Bugsy” Siegel — a notorious New York gangster whose ambitions eventually led him to the Nevada desert.

In this documentary, we follow the real story of Bugsy Siegel: his rise through organized crime, his partnership with Meyer Lansky, his connections to Hollywood, and his involvement in the creation of the Flamingo Hotel.

Why did Siegel invest so heavily in a luxury casino in the middle of the desert?

Why did construction costs explode?

Why did the Flamingo struggle during its first opening?

And what happened when powerful figures from the underworld began demanding answers?

Then, on June 20, 1947, Siegel was murdered in Beverly Hills by an unknown gunman. His killer was never officially identified, leaving behind one of the enduring mysteries of American organized-crime history.

The Flamingo survived. Las Vegas continued to grow. And Bugsy Siegel's name became permanently connected to the transformation of the Las Vegas Strip.

This is the real story behind the gangster, the Flamingo, and the rise of modern Las Vegas.

Watch until the end to discover how one man's dangerous ambition became part of the history of one of America's most famous cities.
