Your now 3-Time National Champion CTE starts the quest for back to back Vegas UH Titles as they take on Strive Above Others in a Championship game rematch from Dallas. The Adversaries enter this tournament looking to make history...there are a record 4 national tournaments this year. After securing the title in Dallas, Vegas is next...and our home team is recognized as one of the favorites.
Let's meet the roster for Vegas:
Matty "Ice" Johnson - One of the elite scorers in the UHC is no stranger to high level basketball. His outside shooting and three-level scoring abilities will be on full display in Vegas.
Onias Outlaw - The 6'7" uber athletic forward has been terrorizing the UHC for months with his high wire act. He seems to have an everlasting motor and his hustle and heart...combined with a versatile skill were key elements in the team's title run in Texas.
Kobby Ayetey - The 6'8" talent from Ghana and previously of the UHC, moved out to Vegas and finds himself infused into the roster for his original UH base team. KB has a level of versatility and effort that will be second to none in this tournament.
Kendall Allison - One of the best defenders and all-around players in the UHC makes his national tournament debut in Vegas. There is no player in the country who can claim to bring more than KA on the basketball court...impacting all facets of the game all the time.
Leon Elung: "Mr. Cash" has returned home from college and now returns to Vegas for another title run. His heart, effort and athleticism is a common theme on this team and Leon is the epitome of that.
Jeff Findlater - Shinobi returns to the National spotlight ready to resume his role providing stealth attacks from the air. The Ninja was grounded slightly for the Birds in Dallas, but rose up with huge contributions in the championship game. Jeff is one of the best defenders in the country and CTE was the best defensive team in Vegas last season enroute to the title...Jeff will be a key cog in repeating that performance.
Cortland Johnson: The odds are high that CJ dunks on someone over the course of this tournament. This debut on the national stage looks to be a coming out party for one of the highest flyers in the country.
Chris Agnes - Mr. 99 Mid Range is built for this stage...his pro-style game, great endurance and analytical approach to the game has been a staple in the CTE fabric for years now. The 2024 35+ UH National MVP is aging like fine wine as his game continues to improve. A comforting feeling having an automatic weapon like Chris.
Daeshawn Eaton - One of the silent assassins of the UHC makes his national tourney debut in Vegas and UHC fans should be excited. "Dae Dae" has the ability to score from every area of the floor and has a level of skill that will be tough to match by opponents. Having spent his last college season on the West Coast, this is a cool trip back west to show his game travels.
Brent Arrington - "Bean" is the heart and soul of the CTE squad and his dramatic clutch 3 pointer in the Dallas title game to send it to overtime propelled the Adversaries to their 3rd title and his 2nd MVP award. Now he returns to the site where he won his first and is in peak form. His faith the fuel for this team!
Joe Fontenot - What more can be said about IT Joe!!! 2026 marks his 9th year in the CTE organization and he is quite literally the anchor of the team. His accolades are a laundry list from National Titles, UHC titles, MVPs, scoring titles and more. However, his consistency and ability to perform at his best on the biggest stage is what sets him apart from any other big in the country. Once again, every UH team that opposes CTE will have to deal with this UH Legend!
Player/Coach Derek Chappell - Pell is at home in Vegas but is CTE for life. His veteran experience in this tournament and in ultimate hoops in general will be highly valuable for the squad.
Coach Sean Bull - The accountability merchant himself has shown the ability to get the best out of players in the UHC and across UH nation. The national championship coach "Suge" is back ready to be a driving force and voice from the sidelines.
Player/Coach Kenny Zeigler - Coach Z will be his primary function this weekend and rest assured...no team will have their team more prepared than "Ya Folk". A known tactician and stickler for attention to detail, this team will likely be able to execute even better than they did last year under his guidance. This is his 14th year competing in UH national tourneys...and he knows something special is brewing.
