Are Resort Fees going away? Does the new Federal Trade Commission guideline make it illegal for Las Vegas Hotels and resorts like Disney to charge fees on top of the nightly room rate? Not even close. A new FTC ruling states that junk travel fees and live entertainment taxes must be disclosed clearly, without surprises, and that no misleading costs or charges should be levied by the venue to the tourists (or locals!).
