Today I decided to go hang out at the Flamingo Hotel pool for a few hours. I had never been to this Las Vegas hotel swimming pool before. If you are a guest of the hotel then all you have to do is show your room key at the front when you check in and you get in for free! If you are not a guest of the hotel then you will have to pay an entry fee (I believe it was $25 to enter). They will check any bag that you are bringing in for security reasons. You cannot bring in any outside food or drink into the pool area. The pool does have cabanas and daybeds available in case you want to have a designated place to relax for the day. I believe the cost was a $200 reservation and a minimum purchase of $200 of food.
We did not reserve a cabana or daybed. We simply found some open chairs and put our stuff down there. The pool does have lockers available in case you want to securely hide your personal items. They do have a live DJ that plays upbeat music for the crowd while everyone is drinking, playing, hitting around beach balls and having a good time. The pool does have a nice waterfall area to see and two waterslides that lead directly into the main pool. The water is shallow (about 4 feet deep) and there are several small islands in the pool for people to dance.
Just above the regular pool area is a separate Las Vegas Hotel swimming pool for families. There is no alcohol served in this area, and the vibe is definitely much more laid back. There is a separate snack bar area in the family pool area. As far as Las Vegas Hotel swimming pools go, I will say that I did like the Flamingo Hotel pool overall. It was a fun environment, but was not too crazy at the same time.
