Las Vegas may be shaking off the perception that it has become too expensive, a shift that could bring welcome relief to thousands of hospitality workers who depend on steady visitor traffic.

After years of emphasizing luxury — and the higher prices that can come with it, including “those infamous 26-dollar bottles of water in the mini-fridge” — hotel executives began adjusting strategies to appeal to value-minded travelers. Travel and Leisure recently asked four travel professionals to name their most affordable destination, and all four chose Las Vegas.
