I decided to do a video on the Original Sunrise Café on Eastern Avenue as part of my Las Vegas Breakfast & Brunch playlist because of its popularity. The Café is in Green Valley, and pretty much sits on the border of Las Vegas and Henderson, NV. The local favorite café opened in 2005 and is considered to be on the top Las Vegas Breakfast & Brunch places in the Vegas Valley. When you sit down they do have a pretty good size menu for you to choose from. The staff is very good about answering any questions you have about breakfast deals or about any other items on the menu.
I went in and ordered a Massive omelet, called the “Monster Omelet”! At the Original Sunrise Café that means that they make the omelet with 5 or 6 eggs instead of the usual three eggs. I made sure I used every inch of space that the omelet had to spare. For my custom breakfast omelet I ordered bacon, sausage, diced ham, turkey, chicken, Canadian bacon and steak, with green peppers, mushrooms, avocado and diced tomatoes. I think I took the “Monster Omelet” to another level!
The monster omelet was probably the biggest item on their breakfast menu, but I was able to eat it all! It also came with a small side of hash browns and with some toast. Now I can see why some people consider Original Sunrise Café to be one of the best breakfast for locals in Las Vegas.
We were there close to noon, so it was more like brunch time. The Original Sunrise Café is open from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, so they truly are a Las Vegas breakfast & brunch place. I was told that it is officially called “The Original Sunrise Café” not because the owners had a café before this one, but because they were worried about a trademark issue. Apparently when they opened the café the Palms Hotel had a place inside of their property called “Sunrise Café.” The owners did not want to risk any issues over the name of their business, so they decided to give it the name “The Original Sunrise Café” just to be safe.
The Original Sunrise Café is located on S. Eastern avenue in Green Valley, on the border of Las Vegas and Henderson, NV.
