After 6 years of not having a movie theater in downtown Las Vegas, there is a new construction project under way. Eclipse Movie Theater is expected to open in June of 2016. The Eclipse Movie Theater will be an eight-auditorium, 550 seat, three story luxury complex that will cost $21 million to build.

The Eclipse Movie Theater will certainly embody luxury. The theater will offer standard leather seating, reserved reclining chairs, and VIP suite boxes with volume control enclosed in glass that fit up to 10 people.

The Eclipse Movie Theater will also feature an in-house restaurant, bar, lounge and other amenities. The theater might also feature special events like opera plays, the super bowl, and the world cup.

Being near the Arts District of downtown Las Vegas, the Eclipse Movie Theater is also working with the Las Vegas Film Festival to use several of the screens during the event.
