Kitchen fire forces temporary closure of former NFL player’s Las Vegas restaurant

A fire that broke out the afternoon of April 30 forced Mama B’s, the popular barbecue restaurant opened by former NFL player Brandon Marshall, to temporarily close and left more than 30 employees out of work as the business begins rebuilding.

Marshall opened Mama B’s — formerly known as Hattie Maries — in 2024. The restaurant quickly gained popularity for its barbecue and family-friendly atmosphere.

Marshall said he learned about the fire while he was out of the country.
