This is my series where I book a standard room at every hotel in Las Vegas and show you everything you need to know. I’m inspecting mattresses, cleanliness, looking for bugs, testing water pressure and smells. No influencer trickey or arranged visits, this is a look at what you can expect at each resort. Next is The Rio. A property I have always considered one of the worst in Vegas, even more so because it used to be one of the best. Room rates here are often as low as $8 a night and pictures online make this feel like “it couldn’t be that bad”. It is that bad. I was hoping to be pleasantly surprised. I was not.
