Brightline out of Florida has acquired the XpressWest Project to build a high speed rail from Southern California to Las Vegas. The initial stations will be in Las Vegas and Victorville, but will eventuall extend to Los Angeles and Burbank. This idea was passed in California in 2008 to connect Los Angeles to San Francisco, but no progress has been made. This bullet train construction will start in 2019 and high-speed rail service will begin in 2022. Traveling to Las Vegas for a vacation will not just be a train ride, but an experience that will feature entertainment options on board as well as conveniences like hotel check in service and concierge services for activities like dinner reservations.
