Exploring Las Vegas Like a Local | Makai Grill, Virgin Hotel & Vegas Fun!

Come get lost in our final full day in Las Vegas may have started with an important doctor's appointment for Lost Girl, the very reason we made this trip, but it quickly turned into another unforgettable adventure exploring one of America's most exciting travel destinations.

After wrapping up the appointment, we head to one of our favorite local lunch spots, Makai Grill. Known for its fresh Hawaiian inspired cuisine, generous portions, island flavors, and welcoming atmosphere, Makai Grill has become a must visit restaurant whenever we're in Las Vegas. Whether you're looking for authentic Hawaiian comfort food or searching for hidden local restaurants away from the busiest tourist areas, this is a fantastic stop that deserves a place on your Las Vegas itinerary.

With lunch finished, we spend the afternoon exploring more of Las Vegas beyond the casinos. From cruising around town to making an unexpected stop to check out a car, this relaxing day reminds us that there's much more to Las Vegas than gaming. The city offers incredible restaurants, luxury hotels, unique neighborhoods, shopping, entertainment, and countless hidden gems waiting to be discovered.

Later in the day, we return to the beautiful Virgin Hotels Las Vegas to explore one of the Strip's most stylish modern resorts. Featuring contemporary design, spacious accommodations, upscale dining, vibrant nightlife, impressive pools, and a refreshed luxury atmosphere just off the Las Vegas Strip, Virgin Hotels Las Vegas offers travelers a sophisticated alternative to many of the city's traditional casino resorts. We take you along as we explore the property before heading back to our room.

Before calling it a night, we grab a few snacks from the hotel, relax, and prepare for an incredibly early morning. With our alarm set for 3:00 AM, it's time to get some rest before beginning our journey back to the East Coast.

Every visit reminds us why Las Vegas remains one of our favorite destinations in the United States. From incredible local restaurants and luxury hotels to world-class entertainment and unforgettable experiences, we already can't wait for our next trip back.
