As prices climb for rooms, shows and meals across the Las Vegas Strip and the valley, some locals say the “Old Vegas” they remember is getting harder to find — and casino operators are trying to win them back with staycation deals and a focus on value.

David Strow, Vice President of Corporate Communications for Boyd Gaming, said Aliante Casino Hotel Spa in North Las Vegas is designed to feel like a getaway. “Once you walk through the doors here, you are walking into a (AAA) Four Diamond resort,” Strow said.

Ronn Nicolli, chief experience and marketing officer for The Meruelo Group, said Sahara Las Vegas is leaning into affordability and experience. “It is about the value proposition. It is about the experience,” Nicolli said.
