BALMAIN GETS THE GOLD RUSH
One of the original couture houses in France, Balmain was showing at Paris Fashion Week with designer Cristophe Decarnin.
Decarnin follows previous designers for the luxury brand like Oscar De La Renta and Laurent Mercier.
The show seemed to carry on from Milan Fashion Week's theme of futurism with Decarnin's designs glowing, featuring gold leaf embellished trousers, dazzling silver and gold metallic dresses and shirts and toga-dresses slashed at the back.
The show's rock and roll aspirations also came into the equation with tattered tee-shirts, baggy harem trousers and Lenny Kravitz in the front row.
Paris Fashion Week is the last date on the international catwalk calendar and will continue until the weekend (08 October).
