I went in thinking it would be a super dark and heavy neo-noir, but instead I found myself laughing and just having a blast with how over-the-top and stylish it was.
The cast is stacked: Bruce Willis, Mickey Rourke, Jessica Alba, Rosario Dawson, Benicio Del Toro, Elijah Wood, and more all lean into the stylized world in their own unforgettable ways. The mix of gritty violence, comic-book visuals, and tongue-in-cheek delivery gave me a completely different viewing experience than I anticipated.
